A small ensemble traveled to Canaan, NY to participate in the Canaan Historical Society's annual celebration of Canaan's declaration of independence from Great Britain on June 24, 1776.  The rain did not put a damper on the festivities.  The celebration  was moved inside to the small museum (which had been converted from the town church) filled with historical artifacts. We opened the program with the singing of the National Anthem followed by a short performance which was well received by all.

Thursday, June 22 a small ensemble from Capitaland gave an hour long performance to the residents of Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.  A large crowd of about 100 people enjoyed the selection of songs which included Broadway songs, a patriotic tribute to the veterans in the audience,  a demonstration of barbershop and a sing-a-long which was popular with the residents.  It is always a pleasure to sing at the Eddy in the Standish Community room.  Their appreciation, evident by their applause, brought smiles to our faces, only matched by their joyous smiles!
